I believe the person who was responsible for Juliet's death is Romeo. I believe it was Romeo's fault because he rushed things. Believing what his friend told him Romeo quickly jumped to a conclusion and decided to engulf some poison. If Romeo had talked to Friar Lawrence, he would have found out that Juliet's first death was a fake. Instead Romeo hastily jumped to a conclusion thinking Juliet was dead. When Romeo engulfed the poison Juliet had woken up so see him do so. When Romeo fell Juliet had known he was dead. Knowing that she couldn't live in a world without Romeo, Juliet grabbed the poison from his hand and swallowed it to.The Two Star Crossed Lovers died beside each other.

Love & Lust ,Passion & Violecne
In the Play there many different themes. Two of the themes i have noticed is 'Love & Lust" and "Passion & Violence Go Hand to Hand". Throughout the story i have noticed many quotes that support these two themes .
For the theme Passion & Violence, and Love & Lust ,two quotes have really stood out for me
Love & Lust
The First 1 is "Alike bewitched by the charms of looks" this quote is about Romeo and Juliet. This quote means that both Romeo & Juliet fell for each others looks. This means that they only fell in love because they look beautiful not because of there personality. The definition of lust is - to have a yearning or desire; have a strong or excessive craving, Romeo fell in love with Juliet over lust of her beauty
Passion & Violence Go Hand to Hand
The other theme we see in this play is Passion & Violence Go Hand to Hand. " My only love sprung from my only hate" Now is the time for a little back story. Romeo is a Montague, and Juliet is a Capulet. These two families have a rivalry and despise each other greatly. Back to my point Juliet is trying to say that her one only true love is someone from a family that her family despises.
Gender Sterotyping
Everybody knows the story of Romeo and Juliet. Boy meets girls, family disproves. Boy and girl end up dying. This Classic story was written in 1599. Many things have changed from their time to ours. For example ,women back then were looked upon as the weaker sex were nowadays women are seen as equals.Although this a classic story written by Shakespeare, looking upon it we can find many gender stereotypes. Recently for my class we read the play. Where I read the role of "Sampson". During one of is lines I noticed that what he had said was a stereotype that women were the weaker sex. "Women, being the weaker vessels, are ever thrust to the wall: therefore I will push Montague's men from the wall, and trust his maids to the wall."
For those who didn't get it the first time don't worry, i didn't either. Basically what Sampson is trying to say is that women are weaker or lesser than men. It might make you made when you read this, but that is how people thought if women back then. This is significant to the play because the women are treated unfairly throughout the whole play. For example later on in the play Lord Capulet decides to marry his daughter Juliet to a man named Paris. When Juliet refuses he beats on her and say to her that she belongs to him and f she does not wish to follow his orders then he will abandon her on the streets to die. Juliet as the "weaker sex" is forced to listen to her fathers words.
Star Crossed Lovers
The term star crossed lover often refers to pair of lovers who's relationship is being disrupted or spoiled by other people. Most of the time these relationships are doomed from the start, but not all are.
Most books and movies like to make story's more interesting by throwing a whole bunch of obstacles in the way of the lovers. In most movies and books ,fate destines the lover not to end up together. However at the end of the day we know that the lovers always live happily ever after.
Twilight is a book where the main protagonist Belle and Edward are star crossed lovers. (Sorry for the spoiler for any one who hasn't read it) This story is about a girl named Belle who falls in love with Edward a vampire. Both Belle and Edward live in two completely different worlds. However in the end these star crossed lovers end up together. I wont go into to much detail because i don't want to spoil the book for anyone.
In reality these kind of things would never happen. in movies and books they make it seem normal. Fate is something like second chances for couples.

This is my
first official post. For my English class we watched a video called “Knock
Knock” by Daniel Beaty. In this video Daniel is reciting a poem about his
childhood and how he grew up without a fatherly figure in his life. His father
was taken away to be a slave. The as a young boy he had to grow up on his own without
his father to guide him. The video gets its name “Knock Knock” from a game the he
and his father used to play before he got taken away. Later on the words “Knock
Knock” is used to show how he takes down challenges in life and grows up to be
a strong confident man.
This poem
also relates to the book “The Help”. In the story there is a maid called
Aibileen who takes care of a child called Mae Mobley. Aibileen acts like a
mother to Mae Mobley and for that Mae Mobley likes her to. Near the ending of
the story the person Mae Mobley adored so much had been taken away. Much like
the young boy Mae Mobley had to take care of herself and overcome any
challenges in her life to.
Thank you guy’s
